Wreaths Across America

We have 874 veterans interred at the Camas Cemetery and have only achieved 580 donations for wreaths. With the covid -19 we may have a problem making our goal. We Will Remember

In the early morning quiet as we ponder the awakening of God’s creatures or the simple beauty of the morning dew on a silver web and in the golden sunset as it slowly succumbs to the purple hues of twilight,

We find strength—–we will not forget—–we will remember them

+++

In the whiteness of the clouds as they sail across a sky blue sea, and in the warmth of the summer sun as it makes its journey toward evening,

We find strength—–we will not forget—–we will remember them

+++

In the beauty of autumn on a country road, framed in the gold of white birch and red of maple,

We find strength—–we will not forget——we will remember them

+++

In the blowing of the wind, and in the chill of winter when the world falls into a peaceful quiet of freshly fallen snow and children are in wonder at the beauty of a single snowflake,

We find strength—–we will not forget—–we will remember them

+++

In the beginning of the New Year when we have expectations of what the year will bring and in the end when we contemplate what we leave behind,

We find strength——we will not forget——we will remember them

+++

When we grow weary, when things seem to take such an effort, and it would be so easy to turn away,

We find strength——we will not forget——we will remember them

+++

When we feel lost and sick at heart

We find strength——we will not forget——we will remember them

+++

When we are filled with joy and we have special moments that we wish to share

We find strength—–we will not forget——we will remember them

+++

———This is what we shall do! ———

For so long as we live, they too shall live, they are part of us as we of them, their flame burns within us.
